Figure skaters Jamie Sale, Shae-Lynn Bourne, Isabelle Brasseur and Barbara Underhill are among the former Olympic and world champion stars who will pair up with former NHLers in an elimination-style dance competition coming to CBC-TV this fall.
The CBC says the seven-week reality series, which debuts in October, will also feature ice dancers Marie-France Dubreuil, Christine Hough-Sweeney, Jodeyne Higgins and Kristina Lenko.
Former NHL heavyweights Glenn Anderson, Tie Domi and Bob Probert are among the hockey stars who will take part in the on-ice showdown.
Hockey legend Lanny McDonald had also signed on, but the CBC now says he has withdrawn due to a recent injury.
The broadcaster added former NHLers Sean Burke, Ken Daneyko and Ron Duguay to the competition, which will team seasoned ice dancers with hockey heroes for on-ice routines.
The series will be hosted by "Hockey Night in Canada"'s Ron MacLean and figure skating champ Kurt Browning. |
